California 4-H State Leadership Conference 2024

This year, 14 intermediate and senior 4-H members from Riverside County were able to attend the CA 4-H State Leadership Conference (SLC) at UC Davis from July 25-28, 2024! Thanks to the generosity of the Riverside County 4-H Management Team, 10 of our youth members were able to attend the conference with their registration fees FULLY covered. These teen leaders in our county applied for this financial aid opportunity and were ultimately selected as they are taking on important leadership roles at the club and county level.

UCR Ropes Course Challenge Annual Event

2023
In efforts to encourage youth to get involved in county-wide
activities and events and learn more about UC Riverside, our
Riverside County 4-H YDP Management Team and staff
planned and coordinated the FIRST UCR Ropes Course activity open
to 4-H youth members ages 8-19 on October 28, 2023. The
event brought together youth members from many of our
clubs in Riverside County and served as the first step in
developing a county-wide civic engagement/service-learning
leadership project that youth will be able to participate in this
program year to strengthen their teamwork and leadership
skills and enhance their participation in county events.

2024

Due to the success of the event, staff and county ambassadors coordinated the second UCR Ropes Course Challenge on November 3, 2024. Over 30 youth members from 9 different clubs participated!
